This is my first post here, and therefore, I decided to post something which is also my first, and that's DSLR wide field astrophotography:

They're taken with a Canon 450D (unmodified) with its kit lens, the closer up are taken with a Canon 50mm f1.8. Tracking was done with a Takahashi TG-SP II.

Prove luna Skyglow e OIII

Yesterday night, with the moon that didn't allow to take deepsky photos, i tried my DSI cameras and my new Orion Skyglow and OIII 2" filters.
The DSIs works good, in particular I was satisfied by the DSI-pro.
Unfortunately Meade Envisage software is not so good so if you've some recommendations please tell me them writing a comment, an email, or a message.
I've also tried better the CG-5 motors and they seem to be quite good.
I still cannot try the St-4 autoguide 'cos I've not the guide telescope and double dovetail bar/decentrable rings (if someone have to sell them please tell me..)
Ieri dato che la luna impediva il deep sky ne ho approfittato per testare le camere DSI e i nuovi filtri 2" Orion Skyglow e OIII. Le DSI si comportano bene, soprattutto la DSI-pro. Il software Envisage di Meade non è il massimo purtroppo. Se avete consigli per rimpiazzarlo quindi fatevi avanti... Ho provato anche l'inseguimento della CG-5 che mi pare buono. Purtroppo non ho ancora potuto testare bene l'autoguida St-4 perchè mi mancano ancora tele guida e barra doppia/anelli decentrabili (se qualcuno li cede sono qui...)

Here's the filters results on moon.
The Orion Skyglow impressed me. Excellent.
The OIII make a light double image.. I don't know why. (Check the craters..)
Maybe the seeing or mount movements but... it seems strange..
Ecco i risultati dei filtri. L'Orion Skyglow sulla luna mi ha impressionato. Rende eccellentemente. L'OIII invece non riesco ben a capire come mai mi dia un'immagine leggermente sdoppiata (guardate i crateri..). Magari era il seeing del momento o del micromosso della montatura ma mi pare strano.
